Miami, Fla. – In its 30-year history, Cuban American family owned, Isaco International has established itself as a leading menswear fashion group. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Sept. 17, 2012 to Oct. 20, 2012, papi commemorates their Hispanic Heritage Collection. Alan Zelcer states: “This is a month where the Latin community celebrates those who came to the United States in search of a better life. We are a company that knows this idea first hand and it is very important for us to participate in the celebration because of our roots.”
The creative inspiration behind the collection is very athletic. Soccer is the most popular sport in Latin America and because of this the garments where modeled after soccer uniforms. The number 10 was chosen as a symbol for the collection because it is a very positive number. The line represents the passion of sports in the Hispanic community. The fusion of colors and flags are also represented for countries such as Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic in the idea that Hispanic pride can be felt, seen and worn.
Macy’s Department store is also recognizing the brand with 75 select locations partnering with papi for in-store celebrations during the month.
