First Baseman Aubrey Huff Wears Glitter-Flecked Red Underwear for Luck

First baseman Aubrey Huff, the garment’s wearer, has credited the thong with lifting his team to a playoff berth and ultimately to the World Series, which began here Wednesday at AT&T Park.

The thong in question is red and covered with glitter. “Over time, it’s actually gotten pretty comfortable,” Mr. Huff says.

Miami, Florida – Tuesday, October 26, 2010 – papi®, the men’s underwear line known for its sexy and dynamic energy, is pledging its support to San Francisco Giants first baseman, Aubrey Huff, and his teammates as they advance to the World Series.

Huff, no.17, has been sporting a red studded papi thong throughout the season, which is touted as a lucky charm for the Giants’ in their season comeback through to winning the MLB National League Championship. The red “rally” thong is part of the 2010 papi collection.

Huff, an alumnus of the University of Miami (UM), was a record setter for the University. During his two seasons, the UM Hurricanes had a 102–30 record and, in 1998, the team set school records for home runs, RBIs, slugging percentage and total bases. Huff led the team with 21 home runs and a UM record 95 RBIs. Huff joined the San Francisco Giants in 2010.
